CSA member Frequently Asked Questions
"I won't be able to pick up this week. What should I do?"
You can send a friend or neighbor to pick up your share for you, no need to let us know ahead of time. Another option is to keep track of the number of items you miss, and make those up at your leisure during the season. If you know you're going to be away in the future, it's fine to take your missed items ahead of time, or after, or some of both. Please keep track of any missed items you are making up, we aren't able to keep track for you. For simplicity, please try to make up all your missed items by the end of that CSA season.
"Something came up and I missed pickup last week. Can I make up those items later?
It's fine to make up missed items at any time as long as you keep track of how many you need to make up.
"What are the hours of each pickup location?"
You can pick up your vegetables on Fridays at the farm from 8 am to 7 pm, Fridays in Ludlow at the Four Season's Sotheby's International Realty office 2pm to 5pm, or on Saturdays at the Rutland Farmers' Market from 10am to 2pm. If you plan to pick up your share from Ludlow, you will need to fill out the online form with your vegetable selections each week.
"What if I miss the hours at the farm pickup? Can still fill out the form and pick up a packed up share later?"
If you miss the hours at the barn, but didn't fill out an online form by 9 am on Friday your options are to pick up your share on Saturday at the Rutland market, or make up those items in future weeks. If you know ahead of time that you are unable to pick up your share from the barn on Fridays between 8 am and 7 pm, you can use the online form by 9 am on Friday to choose your veggies and have a bag packed up for you, ready in the cooler to get whenever.
"Is it OK if I come early to pick up?"
If you come early, we probably won't have your share ready for you: we plan to have shares ready to be picked up by the beginning of the pickup time.
