Pea Shoot Szchug

Right now we are making this with pea shoots, but you can do it with any green. Literally anything… spinach, cilantro, parsley, chard, kale, spicy greens, arugula, radish greens, salad turnip greens, etc.

  • 3-5 garlic cloves

  • 1 bag pea shoots

  • 1 tsp coriander seeds

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

  • 1-2 tsp red chili flakes

  • 1/2 cup olive oil

  • 3 TBSP lemon juice

  • salt

    Toast the coriander and cumin seeds in a pan over medium heat until they lightly brown, stirring so they don’t burn. Then put everything in a food processor and blend until roughly smooth. Put on anything! …. on pizza, toast, omelettes, sandwhiches, as a dip, with empanadas, etc.
