Best Sautéed Chard (ever)

This is quick and delicious, and our kids loved it (but who doesn’t love extra butter in things?) We had it as a side dish, but would be great as leftovers in a sandwich, on pasta, in an omelet, whatever. And you can do this with other cooking greens as well, we just loved it with chard.

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 3-5 garlic cloves, crushed

  • olive oil

  • 2 bags baby chard, cut into thin ribbons

  • salt

  • red pepper flakes

  • 1-2 TBSP butter

  • 2 tsp white balsamic vinegar (or red wine vinegar, white wine vinegar, or balsamic vinegar)

Sauté the onions and garlic in olive oil until they are nicely cooked. Add the baby chard, salt, red pepper flakes, butter, and vinegar. Stir and sauté until the greens have lightly wilted. Serve warm. So good!
